Ms. Halls 3rd class had a fun reward for their best attendance in the month of September. They came to school in their pyjamas, bringing their cuddly toy along. The kids got to enjoy some hot chocolate and treats. It was a lovely and special way to celebrate their hard work.

5th and 6th class had a great time at the Garda Open Day! We learned a lot about the Gardaí and their work. A big thanks to Finglas Garda Station for putting together such a wonderful event. We all thoroughly enjoyed it!
Please be advised that St. Malachys will be closed October 14th to facilitate training for our new Maths curriculum.

In third class, students learned about different types of homes, including homes from the past and the materials used to build them. They showed what they learned by building homes with Lego.

Room 2 have been working hard at their new school in St. Malachy’s. They have settled in very well and have had lots of fun so far this year. They went on a minibeast hunt to find the minibeasts that they have been learning about in science. They found beetles, woodlice, slugs, flies, and lots of spiders! Have a look at some of our pictures from our minibeast hunt!

6th Class had a great day at the Northern European Gymnastics Championships at the National Indoor Arena in Blanchardstown. We were lucky enough to meet Olympic gold medalist Rhys McClenaghan and had the opportunity to not only get his autograph but also to hold the gold medal he won at the Paris Olympics. What a memorable day for everyone—it’s not every day you meet an Olympian and get a chance to hold such a prestigious medal!
