Fire Safety Week
Our pupils enjoyed a visit from the Dublin Fire Brigade during fire safety week. Playground Games
Many thanks to the volunteers from Colgate who painted our playground games and thanks to Barnardos for organising this. Our children are already enjoying playing in these lovely bright games.

Green Schools 2023
Some of our 5th and 6th class children representing St. Malachy’s at the Green Schools Water Event! We are working very hard towards getting our Water Flag this year. The children brainstormed some fantastic ideas for water conservation and even created a water-friendly design for our school! Keep up the good work!
Pen Licence Certificates

Upcoming School Closure
St Malachys’s will be closed on Friday 31st of March for staff training. Children will finish school at 2.30pm on Thursday the 30th of March for Easter break and return to school Monday 17th of April.
Our Nurture Room
We are delighted to have our own Nurture room in St. Malachy’s. A large number of our staff are trained in Nurture and we facilitate two groups a day. In our Nurture room in Malachy’s we start our groups with a snack of toast and juice, and then focus on a different activity each day. […]
Welcome Back!
Just a quick reminder that school will reopen after the summer on Wednesday 31st August at 8:50 a.m. We are currently looking for any of our past pupils to donate their old uniforms that are in good condition. Donations can be handed in to the school. Looking forward to seeing all our pupils soon!

School will be closed on Wednesday June 1st for staff training. We will then also be closed from Friday 3rd to Wednesday 8th June. Reopening on Thursday 9th June at 8:50 a.m.

Anti-Bullying Week Poster Winner
A big congratulations to Bradley who won our Anti-Bullying week poster competition and made it on to the Rainbow of Success. He came up with the brilliant slogan of, “People should be like odd socks…Because you shouldn’t treat one different from the other”.
October Mid-Term Break
Just a reminder that we will close at 2.30 p.m. on Friday, 22nd October, for our mid-term break. We will re-open on Monday, 1st November, at 8.50a.m. We hope you all have a safe and enjoyable break.

Dublin City Council are looking for our young people’s opinions in relation to the development of outdoor teen spaces. The survey opens on September 8th and you could be in with a chance of winning a Just Eat voucher just for giving your opinion.
