St Malachy’s Confirmation 14th of April
The children of 6th class celebrated their confirmation yesterday in St Oliver Plunkett’s Church. Fr Paddy, the Rivermount parish priest, officiated the sacrament.
A huge thank you to the children who put a lot of hard work leading up to the confirmation. Their hard work and effort were rewarded yesterday, as they celebrated their special day together.
We would like to thank the choir for giving up their Saturday to take part in the day. A special thanks, also to Fr Paddy, Cissy, Rita and the rest of the parish team.

St Malachy’s literacy week
We are pleased to announce St Malachy’s literacy week. We started the week off which a poem recital over the intercom from Joy Joyce ( assisted by Ms O’ Malley!) and two inspirational quotes from Callum Parkes, both pupils from 6th class. We are very proud of Joy and Callum, as this not an easy thing to do – a career in radio presenting beckons!
This was followed by D.E.A.R time ( drop everything and read) at 1pm for all pupils and staff in St Malachys.
We will continue to update you throughout the week on each class’s contributions to support literacy week.

Service of Light
In preparation for this year’s confirmation, the service of light will take place in St Oliver Plunkett’s church Thursday, March 15th at 7pm.
