Safer Internet Day February 6th

Safer Internet Day 2018

Safer Internet Day 2018 is almost here! Tuesday 6th February is a day to remind us about safe and responsible online use, especially for children.

CyberSafeIreland’s latest annual report showed that that a third of children aged between 8 and 13 are rarely or never talking to their parents about online safety.  Parental engagement in their children’s online lives is a key part of the solution to keeping children safe online.

We have produced a leaflet with the support of Tusla and the Children and Young Person’s Services Committee (CYPSC) in Wicklow that will provide some helpful conversation starters for parents to have with their children about online safety.

Please feel free to download and copy the leaflet and send home in schoolbags on Safer Internet Day.
