All About Our School
Our 5th class pupil Tom made a project based on our school, highlighting all the wonderful things that happen in St. Malachys. Well done Tom on your fantastic work!

Welcome Back!
We hope that everyone had a lovely summer break. Just a quick reminder that school will reopen after the summer on Monday 2nd September at 8:50 a.m.
We are looking forward to seeing all our pupils soon!

Room 1 Art
Room 1 third class have been settling into their new classroom, making colourful autumn art and self-portraits. Their work shows their growing confidence and creativity as they enjoy this new experience.

Meeting an Olympian!!
6th Class had a great day at the Northern European Gymnastics Championships at the National Indoor Arena in Blanchardstown. We were lucky enough to meet Olympic gold medalist Rhys McClenaghan and had the opportunity to not only get his autograph but also to hold the gold medal he won at the Paris Olympics. What a memorable day for everyone—it’s not every day you meet an Olympian and get a chance to hold such a prestigious medal!

Minibeast hunt in a room 2!
Room 2 have been working hard at their new school in St. Malachy’s. They have settled in very well and have had lots of fun so far this year. They went on a minibeast hunt to find the minibeasts that they have been learning about in science. They found beetles, woodlice, slugs, flies, and lots of spiders! Have a look at some of our pictures from our minibeast hunt!

Lego homes in room 1!
In third class, students learned about different types of homes, including homes from the past and the materials used to build them. They showed what they learned by building homes with Lego.

School Closure – Monday October 14th
Please be advised that St. Malachys will be closed October 14th to facilitate training for our new Maths curriculum.

Garda Open Day
5th and 6th class had a great time at the Garda Open Day! We learned a lot about the Gardaí and their work. A big thanks to Finglas Garda Station for putting together such a wonderful event. We all thoroughly enjoyed it!
September Attendance Award ⭐️
Ms. Halls 3rd class had a fun reward for their best attendance in the month of September. They came to school in their pyjamas, bringing their cuddly toy along. The kids got to enjoy some hot chocolate and treats. It was a lovely and special way to celebrate their hard work.
